The pines are now my home
In the hollow forest
Above the deep roots
To see the stars above
The darkened waters
Reminds my words, old
See how the path has worn away
See how the trees have bent away
The hills are now my home
The caves my shelter
Now caverns deep hold
To feel the air above
The clear and open
Designs my thoughts, true
See how the path has worn away
See how the trees have bent away
Now, away from all my fears
I wait for pleasant weather
Dreams never awaken me
Dreams never awaken me

Now I Remember You
02:40
|

Living quaint little brick and stone
homes dot 'round near cottagescapes
Through cobwebs and the haze so woodswept
Clearly how I recall...
Now I remember you
Now I remember you
From clear waters and dark tide
Shadows sits sad fountains of old
Did you once leave our thoughts, oh truly?
Yes, fount, how life moves on.
But now I remember you

Monuments
03:16
|
|
||
Through the mountain range
Tall, sparse and checkered woods
Wind over pass with canopy above
Some, through clearing views,
New monuments I see
Mere shadows of what wintered trees remain
Here, your progress stands
Here, priorities land
Don't forget the things we used to hold dear
We were all dressed up with nowhere to go
See our homes in disrepair?
We left to build a bridge to newer homes.
Near the warming fire
The water in the kettle boils
This civil life that I have come to know
Work and bills and debts
Must never fall behind
A trade of life for a convenient day
Here, your progress stands
Here, priorities land
Don't forget the things we used to hold dear
We were all dressed up with nowhere to go
See our homes in disrepair?
We left to build a bridge to newer homes.

In the apple tree, the mockingbird will sing her song, for the clouds and trees, the thistles and the rocks to hear. In the highest branch, a perch above the meadowhaze, when the morning breaks, from the garden we can hear her sing, oh!
By the dawn, by the dawn, we hear and see. When the glow of the morn’ lifts up, we’ll wake
No earthly spell holds back the morning song, what lifted sound divides the night and day, oh!
When the sun shines low, and the fog lifts up, the hour will sound.
In the apple tree, a nest is made, a home atop the branches.
By the dawn, by the dawn, we hear and see. When the glow of the morn’ lifts up, we’ll wake, oh!

Velvet Curtain
03:14
|
|
||
One velvet curtain hides the door
Behind, a starry scene unfolds
Dark clouds come near,
Hold high till light
Strikes each the cloak of dark and still
One golden locket clasped above
Held tight and kept near to embrace
Eyes cast to heaven
Through windswept meadows
Fair pinholes radiate above
Just the thought of being near you
For a minute makes me smile
Our sweet children are the blessings
My grandmother mentioned
Though we’ve been together
Over 10 years, it only feels like a blink
Cross deep and bustling river when
The words awoke me from dark and dim
Stark, crooked light beams creep through the blinds
Up before the winds and the birds can sing
These are the winds that blow from the east
Hear how they push and twist the leaves
These are the eyes that I wished to close
These are the words that I held to
